Painting has always been my connection between ideas and the real world; a middle ground.
Figuring out how to make a painting ‘work’ is my favorite puzzle to solve; an excuse to get lost in my thoughts for awhile. I hope my work provides a moment for the viewer to get lost for awhile, too.
Callie Borgman grew up in Louisville, Kentucky. She graduated from Rhodes College and studied painting and photography at Kentucky School of Art, San Francisco Art Institute, and Maryland Institute College of Art.
